-
- Create a performance piece to share with family and friends on the last day of summer camp.
- Learn about the three tools of the actor: body, voice, and imagination.
- Review some vocabulary and concepts that we have already introduced, making the children more sensitive towards the world and people that surrounds them.
- Have freedom of expression to create their own costumes, according to their character, ages and artistic development and capacity without pressure from others’ expectations.

About the Teachers
Philippe Dormegnie holds a masters degree in sociology from the University of Montpellier, and is passionate about engaging pedagogy, nature, and baroque music. He learned to play the piano in Nimes, France at the age of 15. After just a few months of classes, his musical life took flight into hours of fun, discovery, and beauty. Currently he resides in the historic Old Fourth Ward, and teaches French language lessons at the International Preschool and Alliance Francaise.

Monika Ruiz, a native from Colombia, calls Atlanta home. She holds a bachelors degree in Modern Languages, English, Spanish and French. She is a fine artist with a concentration in painting. She has been teaching art and languages, primarily to children for over 20 years. In addition to founding Spanish is Fun!!! language classes, Monika Ruiz is the founder and teacher of Mundo Arte, an art program held at IPS in Atlanta, West End performing Arts Center, and at private residences by appointment. While following her passion for teaching and doing art, she is also the Spanish teacher at the International Preschool.
